okay now its going to sound dumb but i'm from the UK and we don't do baby showers
i'm pregnant and my friend has said she wants to throw one for me! She said to set up a registry! where??
what do i have to do for this? i didn't want to say anything to her and look really dumb.

also what shops are there for baby stuff and maternity clothes over here as i only know the UK ones.

Most likely she registered you at Babies R Us. You can go on their website and look yourself up on the registry page: http://www.toysrus.ca/home/index.jsp?ca ... d=2567270#

Find out what she chose for you, you may not like the pattern or certain make of things she chose for you... i feel that those are personal decisions... For example alot of friends of mine have a video monitor, but I didn't feel that was necessary because they are very expensive and I chose a good quality regular monitor... like I said person preference...

As for maternity clothes, you can get them at Thyme Maternity or Motherhood. Motherhood is more affordable, you can find both at the heartland town centre. I hope this helps!

Hey, congrats on the baby!

There are lots of places to register, but Babies R Us is the most popular and most accessible for most people to buy things for you. The nearest one is at Winston Churchill and Argentia in Mississauga, right by the Lisgar GO station.
The new baby store Snuggle Bugz here in Milton also has a registry (more product choice if you do it online www.snugglebugz.ca), but would probably only really work if most people coming to your shower are from Milton area or are comfortable doing online purchases.

I think Sears and The Bay have baby registries, but in my opinion, both stores suck for quantity and choice of products, not worth it.

Good luck.
