I didn't get a digitial thermostat because I mentioned that I had one already...no big deal for me, but I heard from someone else that he got one. I took the humdifier for a special price of $300 more (Carrier brand too) so my price was around ~2875, less my mail in rebait of $150.

Yes for bracket & yes for cover. I didn't want to go with the grass mounting. Plus I have a look out so the location was on a slope anyway, so brackets were the way to go. Besides I hate getting grass clippings in the AC unit.
For the rebate, make sure that the installers bring the certficate out on the install date.
