Anyone keeping track of their investment statements?? How did you do last year? Last half of last year?? Curious to know what percentage of returns anyone is enjoying....if you care to share I had a pretty good second half of 2010 on mine. I was pleasantly surprised after a complete change-up and moving my stuff to another company. Jessica |

True! I wasn't comparing it with anything though, just looking at straight starting balance, and amount of positive return into a %. I got 12% on one and 14% on another...I'm pretty happy with that!! Jessica |

12% in margin account. I'm fine with it, but would be happier if it was closer to 14% as the TSX did roughly around that for the year. But when I take into consideration that's including interest payments (it's partially leveraged with margin) then I feel better about it. I didn't look at RRSP, little harder to calculate return there since there were deposits done throughout the year so can't just compare dec 31 2009 to dec 31 2010 without factoring in some of the growth was just because of rrsp contributions. But it's probably a similar percentage. |
