Post subject:  Horse Riding Lessons?

Our kids are interested in taking riding lessons. We are considering Vector on First Line or Ballygrace on Tremaine - Does anyone have any comments for either of those barns or recommendations for any other? Thanks!

Hi there! I don't know a ton about Vector, though I have a friend who boards there and is happy. I've taken a few lessons at Ballygrace. It really wasn't the right fit at all. Feel free to PM for more details about that if ya like.

I ride at Laughton Training and Sales (LTS) at #2 Sideroad and Bell School Line (less than 5 min from Ballygrace). I've been there for 3 years. It's really a wonderful spot - we're like a great big family. They have lessons for all ages and disciplines.

There are lots of really nice barns around the Milton area... I've been riding at different barns around Halton for 17 years, so I can probably answer questions about others if you have any. ;)

My daughter rides at Parish Ridge Stables Across the road from Mount Nemo. She is very young, she's been ridging since June and loves it there, their ponies are very good with small children

I used to take lessons at Milestone Stables in Campbellville. That was years ago, but I'm pretty sure they're still there

Im not looking for riding lessons, but I have been interested in a simple trail ride for the wife and I. We arent experienced, AT ALL  I can get on and off, and leave the rest up to the horse

Are there any good farms/ranches/stables.... I dont know what to call them  .... near Milton for this?

Thanks for all the replies, we will check some of these out, so many to choose from!

Don, The ranch offers trail rides. We went years ago and that was my first and last time on a horse. The experience was one that I am sure most people would enjoy, but not my favourite thing to do.

this place looks pretty cool. I like the idea of the sleigh rides... we might just do that very soon! Thank you for letting me know.
