| Post subject: | Bad experience with Scannel. |
Scannel was terrible for me. They damaged our dining room set moving it out and moving it back in. I am still waiting for them to fix it and I took out insurance with them. They damaged the walls of the house we moved out of. The damaged my elliptical machine. I sent an email to the sales I dealt with and he never replied back to me. Hidden cost all over the place. The movers complained the whole time about how heavy things where. You would think you wouldn't be a mover if you didn't expect things to be heavy. They didn't cover their shoes when walking on my wood floors, they covered the stairs and still left salt stains. I just expected a lot more for the money I paid. |

Thanks for the heads up. But you needn't post the same thing on every possible moving company thread and create a whole new one.[/b] |

From another of the threads GNAD b*tched on: JTP wrote: Why are you digging up 2 & 3 year old threads? Just to b***h? Start a new one then. GNAD wrote: Because people will search threads for information and I am providing my feedback. Pretty much the whole point of the blog. What do you care?
That's right, they'll search the threads. Your complaint will come up and they will see it. No one needs to see your complaint (copy and pasted, no less) on FOUR different threads. One search will reveal your post. That's all it takes. |

I think I will just do it my way, thanks for the input though an the negative karma! BTW. Tell your buddies at Scannel to fix my furniture when you see them. |

Thanks for the heads up GNAD. And the forum police on this site are pathetic. Do you really need to harp on someone for posting the same thing twice? Get a life. The amount of pointless/spam posts from people here are so numerous that a double post shouldn't make you lose your sh*t. |

That's too bad that you didn't have a good experience. We have used Scannell twice in the past couple of years and were really happy both times. Nice guys, quick ( we couldn't believe how fast they moved!) efficient and came in right on time/budget. |

Sorry you had a bad experience with them. I was really happy with them when we moved. I wonder if it was different guys or a bad day? Weird. |

I really don't understand this complaint. It's almost too extreme to be believable. Scannell has moved a few households in my family and has always been very good. |

I dont see a problem with posting it 4 times. Something as important as moving your stuff needs to be carefully thought out. People searching will surely read this bad review and help them make a decision. |

I surprised as well. I wanted to use a local company and all the feedback was good. But I guess you can't put bad feedback on this forum so that makes sense why everything was good. |

It's annoying because when you actually do search for information, you get a bunch of different threads and have to sift through them for the answers you're looking for. One topic, one thread. Makes everyone's life easier. It's also ironic that you are complaining about forum police while policing the forum. What if I didn't see his thread because my search parameters were too narrow? Is it not helpful to have another post in a similar thread to increase the probability? What he is did is hardly something for people to get worked up over. And yes, while me complaining about it is ironic, I did not start the bitching. |
