I'm sure I'm not the only one who ran into this crater just east of the train tracks in the right lane this morning? Due to the darkness and rain, you cannot even see it. I hit it with a loud bang and thought for sure something got damaged. Luckily the car drove fine and didn't see any noticable damage when I got to work. A coworker was not so fortunate. His bumper got knocked loose and his tire went flat.

I'm sure the city is going to get a lot of calls for damage and repair compensation on this one.

I only noticed it because the car in front of me slowed down and at least a quarter of his tire was submerged in water. I probably would have missed it otherwise.

I landed in it and need to take the car in.
1 - did anyone take a photo of it? Didn't get the chance (if so if they can PM me the image)
2 - Does anyone know how to make a claim with the city..have an appointment tomorrow to assess the damage.

Sucks - glad someone else noticed it.

Hi Gumz,

Good afternoon, and sorry about the pothole. I have a call in to fix it ASAP.

Thank You,

So my friend got called back from the city and was told the following.

You can file a claim by contacting Rosa at 905-825-6000 ext 7600 or email her at rosa.basile@halton.ca with the following information.

- Date of incident
- Location of incident including direction of travel
- What happened and the result of the incident

Hope this helps.
