I used to this when my 3 girls were younger. What I found easier was to hire 2 students for the summer and they only work 2 or 3 days a week each. This way if someone was sick, had a family vacation or wanted to go to the "Ex" etc. you have someone to cover. They are not tied down 8-6 Monday to Friday. This can be hard for a 14-15 year old to commit to. It was also enjoyed by the girls since each babysitter was different and had their own unique things about them that the girls appreciated them for. Good luck if you decide to go this route - a good place is to contact the office of the school your kids go to and ask them to recommend someone going into high school that might be interested.
