Can anyone recommend a company to dig up and resod our backyard? 22' x 23'. It's always been cr@p, but completely died this year.

We'd do it ourselves, but DH is about to go back to school and work at the same time, and we have a new baby at home.

Thanks!

Hey there neighbour,

We already got a quote - to rip out what's left of the sod, spray for grubs, add top soil, re-sod and then remove all debris .....

A whopping $1300

Thanks - I did mention to DH about grubs...

I saw a crane fly yesterday inside, it must be the larvae. I wonder how many backyards are infested and maybe we should organize a massive spray-a-thon?

pickle - thanks for the link. We're happy Zach is 2 months as well, we almost lost him shortly after birth!

ESTIMATES ONLY:
Sod @ 2.99/4 sqft roll = 0.75/sqft, = $380
2 inches of soil = 3 cuyds = $150 delivered
Removal bin of dead grass = $200
Weed / grub treatment = $50
Lawn roller rental $50
Total materials cost = $830
only $470 savings from the $1300 quote above.

Is all that manual labour spread out over several days worth $470 to you? that's the decision to make :) Hope that helps!
