Tonight is the start of the LWSP tounament being held at multiple softball diamonds around Milton.
Originally known as the Leslie Wells Softball tournament it has become an amazing fundraising event supporting local charities including the Milton Hospital and several Milton families with children facing serious medical conditions.
This year is the biggest year yet with 72 teams competing in this fun tournament. The tournament headquarters is at the pavillion behind the Milton Lions Arena at Main and Thomspon. We have a food/ beer tent set upl that will be open from 5 pm tonight to 1:00 am and again tomorrow.
Come on out and watch some great softball, enjoy a burger/hot dog and help raise funds for the Milton Lions and the tournament coordinators to use this coming year in Milton.
If you want to lend a hand flipping burgers search me out at the tented area (6'4" bald headed guy..tough to miss). Ask any of the servers for "Big John" they will point me out. All help is welcome.
