I'm looking for an app pertainging to note taking and organization. There are two I have looked at, evernote and note taker hd. Neither had great reviews.

Can anyone recommend a good app for this?

Thank know you in advance.

My wife uses evernote, and loves it. There aren't very many choices for this type of app (yet) on the PlayBook.

Sent using my PlayBook :)

I have a friend who swears by groovy notes. I think you could take voice notes with this as well as standard written notes.

Okay, maybe I'll give evernote a try... It's free, so I have nothing to lose.

I use Evernote. Though the PlayBook version hasn't been updated to run properly under OS2. I recommend you side load the Android version of the app, it runs very nicely and has a lot more functionality/features.

Not sure about evernote on BB (though it sounds like you can load the android one anyway), but it was pretty solid on my android device.

I use NoteSmartly. Great product. Their new version 1.08 is coming soon that will allow you to write (make notes) on images like you can with uPad on the iPad.

And how does one technical monkey do this?

- Basically, you download the PlayBook converted file of EverNote (I can email you this file).
- Install a program called DDPB (Available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?b3zwqcnxv3mtmcn).
- Connect your PlayBook to your computer
- Put it in Developer Mode (swipe down to access settings, it's under the Security section).
- Enter your PlayBook password on the computer if asked
- Run DDPB
- Connect to your PlayBook (with DDPB)
- Browse and open the file for Evernote
- Click Install

You're done. It sounds complicated but it's pretty simple, shouldn't take more than 2-3 minute to sideload an app once you get used to it. I have about 20-30 apps sideloaded.

Or you could just buy an iPad for $399 and search for notes app and click install.

If wanting and enjoying an easy to use tablet that even my 3 year old can use, that also has tons more apps available, and is extremely stable makes me an iSheep, then, "Baaaaaa" I think the problem lies with the RIM customers who buy into their marketing ploy that convinces people that a product doesn't need to work as well or have as many features as the competition (ie apple and android)

You can say whatever you want, and I'll never agree. I've owned an iPhone and seen all the great, and mostly useless apps. I'm the first to admit that rim needs more support in that department to be competitive. However, if for a second you think I'm going to buy that the iPad is a superior tablet to the PlayBook, you'll be baaah'ing right back to the iStable.
