Milton Santa Claus Parade - Nov 20 at 2pm Anyone notice the actual Milton Santa Claus parade website doesn't actually mention what day or time the parade is? It's Sunday nov 20th at 2pm on main street (bronte-ish to Ontario) Colin's the resident expert online here on everything Santa Claus related as I know he helps out each year with the parade. No it's probably not as big or spectacular as the old "Eaton's" Santa Claus Parade in downtown Toronto. But yes it's pretty good and a lot of fun for families. Plus you get to avoid the pollution, traffic and extreme crowding you'd get in Toronto. Milton's parade wins hands down in that regard. Much more kid friendly. |

Thanks for the post Rick. The date and time is mentioned on the revolving screen on the left side of the website. http://www.miltonsantaclausparade.ca/ The committee is still looking for volunteers to assist with the parade as the deadline for entries has passed and the committee will now be arranging the parade lineup and holding an orientation meeting soon for all the entry organizers. I retired from the committee after the last parade after nearly 30 years of working on the committee in various roles and I would encourage anyone interested in helping in the community to get involved. It is a very rewarding experience especially on parade day seeing all the families enjoying the parade. Colin Best Local & regional councillor Chair Milton Administration and Planning Committee |

Just a reminder the Parade is this Sunday and the road closing signs are now up on Bronte and Main St. E. . There will be more signs for detours and the assembly area along Bronte St. S. Just remember if you are dropping off children for the parade please follow the directions given to your group by the parade committee and DO NOT attempt to drive into the assembly area entrance at Bronte and Derry as that entrance is for parade floats and band buses only. http://www.miltonsantaclausparade.ca/ Colin Best Local & Regional councillor Former parade committee member. |

We almost ran out of candies to hand out before we got to turn onto Main Street. Lots of kids were there and it was a blast to see so many people out along the route. Hello All, Sunday was a great deal of fun collecting food and toys on the stuff-the-bus. (The Milton transit bus was half full by the end of the route) with items for the Salvation Army. As an aside I saw the parade last night on Cogeco. Thanks again to the organizers that work so hard on putting the parade together. You were a bit low on your estimation Tony As I mentioned in another thread my son Anthony and I along with a dozen other helpers unloaded everything at the headquarters and had to find other spaces for a lot of the toys. Tony Lambert wrote: Hello All,
