If wind is effecting the drywall in the house then it's very likely that water has also been getting into that area, maybe for years.
A 10 year old home is well overdue for a thorough caulking job.
If the window is installed on a wall with siding, stucco, or hardboard, then it is even more vulnerable to wind driven rain.
Windows installed on brick walls hold up better because they are set back into the brick wall.
To make matter worse, many windows installed by some builders on siding are missing a
drip cap flashing detail at the top of the window frame. While this is not a code violation, it is a very poor way to install windows and an even worse place to save the $5. cost of this detail.
