Why would you want to avoid the roundabout? It's awesome.

Like anything else driving related, it all comes down to being prepared. Just make sure you are in the correct lane before getting into the roundabout, and everything should take care of itself.

its like swimming under water. As you're approaching the roundabout, take a deep breath and only exhale when you get out of it...

If you get to Dymott, either by Tremaine or Savoline... Go south on Gastle way, (the only street you can go south on in between Scott and Savoline) and Goutouski Cres. will be your first left.

The good news is that according to Superman physics, if you get stuck in the roundabout and drive fast enough, you will go back in time.

I know how you feel .. I got stuck in one somewhere in Buffalo ... It was my first roundabout, and i wasn't expecting it ... I remember it being big and having more than one lane ... I felt like I was trapped forever in the inner lane ... There were about 6 streets coming off of it (unless going in circles too many times made me recount the same streets)... drivers were going very fast around it, and I couldn't slow down to read street names ... I was terrified!

However the new roundabouts in Mississauga are small with one lane and not bad!

Hi Avonannie

How would you get stuck in a roundabout? All you have to do is slow down, follow it to the right and stay in the appropriate lane to exit in the direction you want to go. Vehicles in the traffic circle have the right of way and from what I have seen at the Tremaine and Main W. circle which thousand of cars, trucks and I use every day is just watch out for other traffic and drive safely.

Also to let you and other drivers know the regional public works staff are working on the designs for the Tremaine & Steeles and Tremaine & Britannia intersections and may be recommending traffic circles for those locations as well.
