Post subject:  Anyone in Hawthorne Village have Central Vacuum frm Mattamy?
We are getting the Central Vacuum option (it's about $1219). We were told there would be one outlet per floor. Does anyone find this hard in larger houses to get to all areas of the house?

How does the toekicker option work in the kitchen cabinets? Is it both a normal outlet plus a toekicker? I.e. someone said you can sweep things in the kitchen close to it, then open it with your foot to suck the dirt in. But is it also an extra outlet? Meaning if you get this you'd end up with 2 outlets on your main floor?

Hi Rick,

We have purchased both through Mattamy. Our home is 1717 sq. ft and just last weekend I was telling my husband that I wish the hose was A LOT shorter :lol: There is 1 outlet per floor. On the upper level it is in the hallway, on the middle level it is in the hallway as well so central to both ends of the house. And there is one in the basement as well. The toe kick is located at the bottom of a bank of drawers and it looks nothing like an outlet, you kick it open and it sucks the dust/dirt in.
