Hi Anna, Here's a quote from an email I received from Dave Eastman at Mattamy. He "sets all the dates and sends all the registered letters" re delayed closings. "Thank you for your email. We have had a cold weather delay and construction has started about 30 days behind schedule. The May closings have been lost and will now close at the end of June. The June closings will be moved into July and August. We do not for see a delay on July closings at this time. We will certainly make you aware of any other developments. I sincerely appreciate communication with Homeowners and I hope you will continue to email me with any of your concerns." So if there are any 56's that close in May or June they will be affected too. As it looks now July and later closings aren't affected. Vanessa |

Hi Derek and Ruvani, I received the email from Dave last Tuesday (February 8th.) It would be nice to know soon if our closing dates are changing as we all have houses to put up for sale in the next couple of months. We have a late July closing but are the fire lot which means if everyone on both sides of us are delayed then we will be too. I'm still waiting to hear... Vanessa |

Hi Vanessa, We have the same concern, we plan on listing our home in 2 weeks for an early July closing and would prefer to know now if the house was going to be delayed. Derel & Ruvani |

I spoke with the Builder today about closing delays and guess what - the same old answer.... "We are not required to provide any notice regarding delays until 60-days out". Thanks to the help Mattamy! Here we are try to sell a house, two small children, 97days out, just a foundation and they will not budge on a delay notice. My experience (and I have some - professional) says they can't make it, so why they won't just tell and move on? This is very frustrating. It is starting to look like Mattamy is just like all other builders - nothing special. Paul This is "TYPICAL" what every builder will do. They would always go with what the contract states. Hence, the only worry for a new home buyer is the closing date- everything else is cool in owning a new home. Trini |

Hi everybody, Is it fair to assume these delays for the first part of phase 12 will also affect the second part? In other words should I be thinking that our Nov 23rd closing won't actually happen until shortly before Christmas? |

Hi Marc Based on Vanessa's posting near the top of this topic, it appears that it would not delay your closing. But you never know... Derek & Ruvani |
