Just wondering what the going rate is for having a sitter look after your kids.

Also does the price change when you have more than one kid to have looked after?

Thanks

Tim

I wil pick up my babysitter at around 3:00 from her house and her mom picks her up around 7 pm when the mother in law comes over. We were not sure what to pay so we just gave her 40 bucks.

We have a 4 and a 2.5 year old. She made them dinner and I bought pop and chips for the kids too.

I think that is a little steep, but we only use her once in a blue moon and she is usually available on short notice so I do not mind over paying by a few bucks.

I have a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old. Typically I pay $10 - $12 an hour and will usually order a pizza or some other filler for them.

I would say it depends... If you go for a highschool student then you can probably get away with paying 7-10 but for college aged or older 10-12 is average.

I don't think the price varies too much when you have multipul children the only way I'd say it affects it is if you have 4 or more kids...

I'm a nanny and only babysit for the family i work for... I charge them a discounted rate when I sit on the weekends.
