No news from main stream media. The recent incident erupted just couple of months before and different sources stated that it is believed to be more than $20k people killed/burned so far.

I suspect it is because Muslims are being slaughtered and the world just doesn't care. But I could be wrong.

Some people are like slinkies. They're really good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I think it's because from that side of the world, people are blowing up things all the time. Everyday life for those poor people is horrible.

Anyway its very sad that I think our society has grown custom to hear about bombings, killings, stonings, suicide, landmines, etc from the middle east that when it happens here it's close to home. Also we don't live in constant fear like some of those countries do. A bombing here is a huge story there not do much.

I feel so bad for those poor innocent people.

My guess is that the military doesn't allow any outside media in the country, that's why nothing is reported...similar to N. Korea. Myanmar's been in terrible shape for decades but is sounds like things may be getting better.

How many people does $20k get you over there?

Sorry couldn't resist. In all seriousness, I think as others have said there is so much news, most of it bad that at some point we just tune it out. I just heard today there was another shooting massacre in the states. Had no idea. There's too much to keep up with.
