No. Not even close to being approved let alone starting construction. It's dirt storage as I recall Zeeshan or Colin posting in another thread. |

Hi Kozm The Laurier and Sheridan campus's have not been approved yet and town staff expect it will be several years before the approval, funding and construction starts. The work you are seeing is topsoil storage that the builders in the area have arranged with the Town until after the houses east of Tremaine are completed early next year and the topsoil is then trucked back to the site for front and rear yards similar to the recent Intracorp Homes topsoil pile on the north side of Main St. W. at Savoline Blvd. Check out this link for more details on the MEV which is updated when anything significant happens. http://www.milton.ca/en/townhall/milton ... illage.asp Colin Best Local & regional councillor Wards 2,3,4,5 North of Derry road. Feel sorry for the owners that will get this stuff. There is all kinds of crap that's been thrown down there. |

Not sure about the poor quality of the topsoil as it was fine when it was farmer's fields for growing crops. I think the problem is more in the depth of topsoil that is replaced and there just being insufficient amount of soil over top of the clay making it really hard for sod to get well established (going based on our yard anyways!). Colin, is there a minimum depth of topsoil standard for new lots? If so what is it and how well is it enforced during grading inspections? Actually, I'd extend that question to parks as well as part of preventative maintenence for weed reduction. |

It turned brown/yellow.... Trying too save it now with all the watering possible... its actually working |
