Family Matters in Milton launched its first issue in Sept 2012. It has just released its second issue. A quarterly publication, that focuses on the issues of interest to the families in our town. Family Matters promotes the importance of family coming first, healthy, active lifestyles, and community. Pick one up in over hundreds of locations across Milton where families have a wait time! Give us your feedback, we would love to hear from you! Like us on FB and follow us on twitter.

I would really like to hear from anyone who has come across the winter issue of Family Matters in Milton in the last couple of days since it has been distributed. Steeles Ave still needs to be done, and so does Commercial st ..other than that you should be able to find it almost everywhere..
I would love some feedback..good and bad..probably not the smartest thing to ask on here! No really, I would love to hear your thoughts on the publication, the articles, new ideas etc....

Good things
I like the size. Different than the others, easy to pick up and read.
Great that it has a local calendar in it about local events
Design and graphics looks pretty good. I've seen much worse.

Things it could improve on
Not much local content. The stories aren't really related to the community and could be for Vancouver, British Columbia as much as Milton (i.e. not related to Milton). The only local content I saw as an advertorial for Cross Fit (which is a great business btw, CrossFit does fantastic things for the community and they help out with local charitable events).

p.s. I publish Milton Villager magazine so in theory we are "competing" so you can take anything I saw with a grain of salt and think I have ulterior motives. But I'm being honest. I've seen Family matters at many locations around Milton. Your distribution is good in my opinion. It's easy to spot around town.

...sorry re-editing this once because I forgot about page 20 in Family Matters.. Local content, great story!!

Did a little googling and found that URL which loads up her magazine.

Rick, your feedback means a great deal! I will take it all to heart. I really am trying to focus a little more on local matters. Just really don't want it to become a "news" mag. There's a guy in town doing a great job at that already! Milton Villager is awesome, Rick! We needed that! Just got it in the mail today!

As for FM ..The articles are all written by experts in town (my effort at keeping it Milton Specific. I love that they have so much to teach us. Thank you, thank you for finding that url for everyone. you have just uncovered my biggest challenge! The web based anything is certainly not my forte!
