With snow tires, you only need to take it easy on the throttle and they will hook up. It has enough power to spin the wheels in the snow in almost any gear.

I'm with you - prefer coupe versus convertibles, but I would guess that Ford sells as many Mustang covnertibles as they do hard tops.

Okay thanks, great to know.

Any squeaks and rattles so far in the interior?

No rattles or squeaks, seems solidly put together. The chassis feels tight - the performance package provides a strut brace as well as a K brace underneath which I'm sure helps.

No real criticisms so far. However a slightly louder exhaust would be OK. I'm not looking for mufflers that will wake the neighbours but the factory supplied are too quiet and additonal hp is always a good thing. The 2018 raises hp from 435 which is pretty good to ~ 460 which, with the 10 speed auto, will reportedly get it to 60mpg in under 4s.

And the 2018 has the active exhaust, so you get your louder exhaust and then tone it down (or put it on a timer) to not bother the neighbours! Sounds awesome in person! The LCD "digital cockpit" is really nice in person as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I think magnetorheological shocks are now an option as well.

Sh!t guys, I was gonna find a used 2015 or 2016, but of all the car segments, I said I would only buy a sports car brand-new (so no one abuses it before me, lol), and this 2018 is sounding so upgraded I might just buy new now, or lease. I'll have my Costco $1000 off and expect a good hook-up from a Fix Or Repair Daily dealer, so it could be promising. If I get it, we can meet up, Kev!

Haha there's nothing wrong with a used 2015 or 2016. Especially if you're going with the GT. With the 2015 you'll get the crappy My Ford Touch head unit which is terrible in my opinion. 2016 gets Sync 3 and it's so much nicer (if you care about that).

Okay, great, good to know. The 2018 GTs have more power and very importantly, a heated steering wheel option, hence my consideration.

I can't believe I'm considering an American car, haha. Fix Or Repair Daily and Found On Road Dead, lol (I'm hoping for First On Race Day).

For sure. If you are going new then a 2018 would be your best option with the improvements they have made. Unless you want a 700+hp GT500 coming in 2019...

Fantastic, yes, I did see that new Bullitt. Is your German Shepherd's name also Opie?
