I just drove by the old A&P location and they have painted to top of the building in Food Basics green!!! Also, they have installed green buggie "sheds" in the parking lot. Well, its about time!! I wonder when it will open?

The location is at Laurier and Ontario Street. It is in the same mall as Matt's Rib House.

Sounds great. I saw a quick write up in the "Compass" newspaper I believe as well as a "green" store front photo.

Milton just keeps getting better :D

Obviously everyone in town is thrilled to finally have a reasonably priced grocery store available close to home. I was there on Thursday at 2 in the afternoon and it was packed. (saved about $40 or $50 on my bill though, hooray!). Everyone was so excited, I had several strangers say "did you SEE the price of this!!" to me in different aisles.

My husband went on Sunday to pick up a few things for a party and was gone for almost 2 hours. He said that the lines went across the entire front of the store! I hope that this sends a message to the other stores in town - obviously Miltonians would rather spend time waiting in line than our hard earned money on their over-priced items.[/b]

I went in this weekend, and ended up leaving. The line ups were crazy, and the produce when I was there, while priced less, was of very poor quality.

I wonder why they haven't updated their website to include the new Milton branch yet
