The CogecoTV spots are going to be great, especially if there will not be televised debates this time around. Unfortunately due to the overall number of municipal candidates the offer could not be extended to those running for public school board trustee.
The closest alternative for wards 1, 6, 7, & 8 is the open interview session for the trustee appointment after Nancy MacNeill left. Three of the five trustee candidates currently running participated in the interviews. We had 10 minutes to answer three questions (prepared in advance). Here is a link to the interviews:

Hopefully this will give you a better feel for some of the candidates running for this position. Personally, I would love to have a good debate. There are a couple of meetings in the works that I will post about when they are publicly announced.
Signs are something I have agonized over and would have preferred to run a completely green campaign but since most of my opponents came out with signs I feel I have to as well if I want to stay competitive for the position. As a compromise, I only ordered about half of what it has been suggested I 'need' to cover the four wards and will simply try to place them strategically. Like Rick says, they don't have to be placed every 15 feet to have an impact (I hope anyway).
I am going to try to do a lot of my campaign online. I have a website
