In 2010 we received his flyer twice, each time with a hand-written "Sorry I missed you..." on the front. Both times we were home, and did not hear the bell. I guess it's technically true (ie: not a lie), since he did, in fact, miss us.

It would take some doing, and several pens, to sit down and write out "Sorry I missed you..." 25,000 times.

The CogecoTV spots are going to be great, especially if there will not be televised debates this time around. Unfortunately due to the overall number of municipal candidates the offer could not be extended to those running for public school board trustee.

The closest alternative for wards 1, 6, 7, & 8 is the open interview session for the trustee appointment after Nancy MacNeill left. Three of the five trustee candidates currently running participated in the interviews. We had 10 minutes to answer three questions (prepared in advance). Here is a link to the interviews: http://199.235.122.54/TrusteeInterviews.html Current candidates speak starting roughly at minute 59, 1:15, and 1:26.

Hopefully this will give you a better feel for some of the candidates running for this position. Personally, I would love to have a good debate. There are a couple of meetings in the works that I will post about when they are publicly announced.

Signs are something I have agonized over and would have preferred to run a completely green campaign but since most of my opponents came out with signs I feel I have to as well if I want to stay competitive for the position. As a compromise, I only ordered about half of what it has been suggested I 'need' to cover the four wards and will simply try to place them strategically. Like Rick says, they don't have to be placed every 15 feet to have an impact (I hope anyway).

I am going to try to do a lot of my campaign online. I have a website http://www.kimgraves4trustee.ca, facebook page http://www.facebook.com/KimGraves4Trustee, twitter account http://www.twitter.com/kgraves4trustee and even a youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZs7vu8_gdQ. Please like and share content freely. The more engagement that happens online, the less I will feel I have to do in print.

Serious Question - How do candidates make a decision on which ward to run in? Is it based on perceived ability to win in that ward? I notice that we have candidates for example who live in 7 and are running in 6 and also candidates who live in 6 but run in 7. Just wondering.......
