Can anyone recommend a good reliable brand/model in the below $1500 range. Our GE Profile French door bottom freezer is on it’s last legs. Needless to say we don’t want GE again. I’m thinking Electrulux or Frigidaire. Fridge must also be somewhat quite as the space is open concept with living room near by.

Thanks

Avoid samsung. Constantly at the bottom of reliability. Although you have not had good luck with GE, they are amongst the most reliable.

We have a kitchenaid fridge. We've only had it for 3 years, but it's extremely quiet and so far we haven't had a day of trouble with it.

Our Frigidaire is 10+ years, and is still working well. We have an open concept house, and we have never had a problem with the fridge.

We have used LG and are extremely pleased. Runs quiet, economical, and good value for the money.

Stay away from Bosch. Piece of crap when it comes to fridge. Their dishwasher on the other hand are bulletproof. I have LG now and very pleased with it.

Thanks. Ended up getting LG. VERY quiet. Had to open door several times to make sure it was running.
