I know allot of you find this funny. Its NOT. The lady in the house behind takes bowls of food scraps out every day and puts them on her back lawn. There are now possums, racoons. skunks and the usual assortment of wild cats living in that yard. My dog has been sprayed by a skunk twice this week. The yard & the house smell funky. I watch her come out (my office over looks their yard) with a bowl of food scraps, she puts them along the fence line!!
These wild animals could carry rabies, as well as do property damage. "And no, I have not tried talking to them, as they are not friendly people, I tried".
It is not a civilized thing to do, putting your food scraps out for the wild life...
It is not amusing to have the dog sprayed, it can be dangerous to them, and vet bills are expensive.
I phoned bylaw because I thought it was illegal and apparently bylaw have done nothing to stop it.
Why should I foot the bill for pest control, (NIMBY) when these people continue to feed the possums, racoons & skunks.
I am so frustrated.
This is nothing new. Years ago we had friends living in Malton and their neighbours, of a certain culture, regularly threw their meal leftovers out the kitchen window which was between the houses. Even lately, here in Milton some residents hang their clothes out out dry on the front porch railing.
