Each Milton area is different. I don't really care how they are named. I could distinguish them by small details which are connected to me.

This is what I want to know.

I think, my identification of neighborhoods is based on personal associations. It isn't how distinguish the look, but what was happening here and where. Walking and cycling makes big difference to it as well.

Places in town (New Milton) people can get permits to do so because driveways are so small.
I've known this as being a selling feature for someone.

To me everything post Big Pipe is all the same. No matter what you call the area, they are all cookie cutter identical with no major, or minor differences to observe. That is what is lacking in the future of Milton: a vision to build something different than another giant suburb. Unfortunately our Town Council has not yet risen to the occasion.

Same for part of "Old Milton" too. I drive on Laurier, between Thompson and Ontario and it is cookie cutter too, just different type of cookie.

Milton is a bedroom community and feels and looks the part.

think milton for the most part is still fairly new and hasn't developed it's neighbourhood charm/ distinction. give it a few years and you'll start to see the different in the communities

for now, as others mentioned, it's all the same to me

Having lived in Scott and HV on the Park I have to say I find HVOTP to feel like more 'like home'; Scott felt like a commuters neighbourhood.

In HVOTP neighbours say 'hi' or chat, there are two fantastic parks, great walking paths, lots of families, is diverse (in age, culture and economics) and with a new dog park, LCBO, Beer Store, and Sobeys coming soon I'm expecting it will only become an even better little place to live.

And believe me, I have no interest in living in Toronto; I have witnessed evils that many have not.
Like you, I am glad I live here.

What evils? I hate it when people are purposefully vague.

Slums, addiction, homelessness.
Yes it can happen in Milton, but not near the same magnitude.

What makes Timberlea different? The trail system. I don't like riding my bike on the road, so I use the trails that go through my area. I once rode all the way to Childs, cut through Robertson to the path, and back home along Sam Sherratt trail.
