Looks like the successful Saucy restaurant from Streetsville is opening a second location in Milton in the old Post Office (Osso Bucco was there most recently). Should be a nice addition to the restaurant scene. Hope it is not jinxed by the lack of parking. Disclosure: I know the owner's wife. Nevertheless, my food experience in Streetsville was great.

Saucy is a fantastic restaurant. I used to be a Streetsville native and to hear that this is coming to Milton is surprising in a great way.

This looks like a great restaurant to try. Opening date?

Can't wait for this. We were turned on to Saucy in Streetsville about 5 years ago, when friends moved there (after eschewing Milton). We have many times enjoyed ourselves there, in spite of the drive.

One thought, I hope the Saucy people know what they're getting themselves into with this "Milton" idea of theirs. I presume they have done their homework, and are ready to make it work. For sure, we will definitely support them.

Milton families are a strange breed. This sadly will fail. When corporate brands with the same price point per plate and tons of advertising avoid Milton, why would we think this would work? I wish them the best, but the penny pinching coupon clipping appetizer sharing Miltonites will not allow this place to thrive.

Milton. The M stands for mortgage poor. (Here comes the price matchers to fight). They tried to keep up with the Jones and not get the townhouse, instead opting for the detached and now they have no money to spare.

I agree with this but doesn't mean that the restaurant can't succeed with good food and service. Good luck to them, I will try the place out.

you missed good price. I looked at their online menu and those prices aren't going to fly over here. it will live or die based on the price. nothing else.

When a restaurant chain like the keg, with almost universal appeal won't open here then why would they? We have people in 500k homes buying clothes at the Goodwill. Good luck saucy, but this will not work.

I find that incredibly hard to believe. I mean sure one or two, but a generalization like that? If it's true, that's sad.

I'm looking forward to trying it as well.

I think all upscale restaurants will struggle here, at least for a few more years. Too many young families, and adding the cost of a sitter makes nights out few and far between.
