Does anyone know if there is an MRI machine at the Milton hospital? I was told that I may need one on my shoulder, but I've been hearing horror stories of year long waits, having to go to Toronto at 2am to have it done "off peak". I was just curious how long the wait might be.

I think there is a fund raiser to get one, plus build a room to house it.

The closest one right now is Oakville (Trafalgar Memorial Hospital).

i have to get one on done on my spine.. and my doctor thought i would have to wait a couple months. i think the wait depends a lot on the severity of the problem. i don't have numbness or weakness in my legs (yet) .. my father in law had a disc rupture causing severe symptoms and he had one done in days... then had emergancy surgery.

i am prepared to go in the middle of the night since i've heard a lot of people had to go at crazy hours

I went to Burlington... and waited 2 weeks to get in.. but mine was an emergency MRI and a few years ago.
My Mom went to Oakville.. and it wasnt that long of a wait... I do believe it depends where your DR is where you get sent

I've been for 2 on my knee. One at Peel Memorial and it took 5 months to get in, the other at Oakville and it took 2 months. As was stated, wait time is decrease for importance.
