Use contractor garbage bags, they don't rip and are super easy to carry around.... they also stack (pile) pretty well in moving trucks. You'd be surprised at how much less exhausted you are at the end of your moving day since you can carry 3-4 bags of light things which would have been impossible to do and require 3-4 trips using boxes.

if you want free boxes order numerous home necessities in separate orders from walmart.ca

they ship for free and send you a pack of gum in a 3 foot box.
