anyone actually know how deep these ponds usually are? I've heard anywhere between 3 and 10 feet. I'm looking for an answer that is actually based on something other than speculation. |

2.5 metres is an average depth of a storm pond. I work in land development and the average depth is around that range that I have come across. |

Just started showing my kids Inspector Gadget on Teletoon Retro. What a great show from my youth. Go go Gadget Legs! Could've been near the edge where it is shallower. The deepest part is closer to the centre. There are actually two parts to the pond underwater. The 'forebay' and the 'main cell' which you wouldn't see unless the pond was drained (or really low due to drought). I can't recall if they are both the same depth or not but the main cell will be about 2.5m at the deepest part as per design of the permanent water level. Seasonal fluctuations will influence the depth. |
