Several cruisers and a van in front of the stores/condos.
Thompson NB is blocked off.
Grand larceny?

Who knows. Halton cops get bored so they all like to rush any scene.
I remember 5 cruisers and 1 unmarked showed up at Blockbuster (when it was still around) to deal with a teenage shoplifter...

The Princess had it out with a Price Matcher or someone didn't like their manicure.

Just heard a pedestrian was struck and died tonight... Unsure if related?

^^ it's entirely possible, but I did not see any ambulance's of fire apparatus.
I noticed this when I was returning from a quick run to the store, and didn't notice anything when I was going to the store (doesn't mean it didn't happen).

Went by it just after it happened. It was at the driveway turning off Thompson in to the store/condos. Massive damage to the cars windshield.

A pedestrian was hit by a car there last night just after 7pm. Right at the entrance behind the townhomes on Thompson. I drive north and it was fine, when I was coming back a few minutes later, the cruiser passed me and there wa a pedestrian laying on the road. Horrible scene :(

The pedestrian — whose name is not being released at this time — was taken to a local hospital and later transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre where he remains in serious but stable condition.

How many hospitals are there in the area? Or do we consider oakville and mississauga local as well?

That is so sad, I hope the teen pulls through. This happened just before I passed that area coming home from the jim as I didn't see anything around 6:50pm.

In Brampton, they don't stick around after they hit you. We're holding up OK.

It was a severe injury, Milton an Oakville are not equipped for those types of injuries. In the GTHA we have St mikes, Sunneybrook, and Mc Master in Hamilton. If you find yourself as a driver who is involved in a accident, where you strike a pedestrian, do not make a statement to the officers at the time. You will be far to emotional, and will only likely say something that will hurt your defence.

You only have to provide your licence, ownership, and insurance. When you can make detailed notes and contact a lawyer. Saying things like having a glass of wine (even if not impared) or estimating your speed at say 55 in a 50 can be deleterious to your defence. A statement can be made later with a lawyer.

No statement after a serious collision ever. You are not mentally or emotionally up to it.
