I don't understand why anyone bothers to waste time debating this issue anymore. The deals are long done and intermodal will be at the core of Milton's future development and growth with both good and not so good consequences. You just have to look around at all the low density and low employment warehousing to know what is coming. I am moving on anyways so all the best my friends of what was once a proud town.

Once a proud town? What does that mean? What would you consider a proud town?

MP - It's not a lost cause. Citizens like you that sit on their hands are why we lose control of the shape of our communities. I'm pretty sure 70%+ of this town would be against this thing, if they were all aware. Problem is mobilizing these 70% who over time have been programmed to think they don't have a voice to change the status-quo or affect policy.

You too can be the David of this story.

UPDATE - Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry.

Public Notice - Milton Logistics Hub Project — Information Sessions.

Now this is nasty - "The project would include a railway yard with more than 20 km of track and be located in Milton, Ontario, about 50 km west of Toronto.

Guess they didn't grease all the palms in this implementation. Still time to fix that though.

Will be interesting to see who the province stands beside on this one. They are going to have to take a side.

It’ll be nice when this is completed and jobs are created so some Miltonians can fulfill their lifelong dream of working in a rail yard.

Have you submitted your application yet? Looks like you'd be a prime candidate.

does the province really need to pick a side?

I'm thinking when asked, they'll say... "No comment as it's before the courts"

How could a court make an informed decision without the Province's perspective?
If it's headline material, some provincial politician will take a stand.

MLAs are pretty much supplied with their opinions at hiring, Liberals most especially. Apparently, 100% of T2s posse is both pro-abortion and pro-pipeline, for example. What a coinky-dink! Remember Raitt refused to weigh in on this issue back a few hears ago, The Boss probably said so.

It will depend on CNs perceived political value to T2, or to Wynne or her successor, is it a big enough deal to weigh in? The opposition to this would have to register on the Richter scale to make any difference, and I can't really see that happening tbh. It'll be nice to have the courts crack this thing open, let's hope we actually find something out, I wonder how various political legacies will fare?

Intermodal is a go

Government officially approves it as despite health issues there are justified because of the benefits of said Intermodal
