I just noticed that bird nest on top of my front light. How to remove them and prevent the bird for coming back again and build another nest? Do I have to call animal control or can I just remove them. Any input/suggestion greatly appreciated.

I have had the same thing for two years in a row. They come in the spring and make a nest, have their babies and then leave. The kids like it. This year, they came and started, but I think there are too many people going in and out of the house. They left before they finished the nest.

Some aluminum foil on top of the light can prevent them from coming back.

It's not pretty to look at, but it works.
