Hi... I am trying to save about 100 family video clips (mpg file extension) on my Mac Mini. Looks like I cannot save these video clips on my Mac Mini but I can view them off my memory stick.

Is there an easy way to convert them or change the file name extension so I can save them on my Mac Mini?

Any help is appreciated.

Uhmm... why can't you save them on your mini?

You may not have something installed to play them, but you should be able to copy them to the file system regardless. For playing an mpg on OSX I'd say look at VLC, it supports just about everything.

If you really want to convert the files have a look at Handbrake.

use Mpeg Streamclip to batch convert all the file... Just setup the the file you want, MP4, H.264 @9mpbs... etc, etc

Set it and forget it!
