Don't know about sharks but the mosquitoes would love the captive audience

This would be a great fun evening for the beach at Kelso, or the boat launch! Mill Pond - I think I'd take a shark bite over being slimed sitting in Mill Pond - EWW!
Zeeshan, is there any chance of a bit of dredging being done at the public dock at Livingstone Park? I think the weeds are thick enough to walk on around the dock area. Some really nice water lilies but it's generally pretty slimy!

The straight 'Outdoor Movie Night' thing is already done in August at Kelso. Or at least has been done for the past 5+ years. They usually announce what they are playing soonish...

Last year it was these movies on Friday nights..

Friday, August 8 – Epic (2013)
Friday, August 15 – Nim’s Island (2008)
Friday, August 22 – Frozen (2013)
Friday, August 29 – Mr. Popper’s Penguins (2011)

That's an awesome idea! Not sure about logistics involved it doing it at a pond or lake the first time, but an outdoor movie in the park might be a lot of fun in summer.

This Summer we have kicked off movie night in the backyard every Saturday night (weather/activities permitting). Huge hit for everyone that has come over, and so far no neighbor complaints on the noise. We may show a kids movie early on, but everyone can't wait to see Airplane, Porky's, Meatballs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. When it comes to the bad scenes, we just tell the kids to apply the ear muffs or cover their eyes. We figure not too much damage can be done to their little brains.

Haha hilarious... Do you think Jaws movie on tubes in the pool would be too much for an 11 year old sleep over party in the house. I'm debating on that, or an outdoor scary movie on the big screen, campfire with smores and sleep in the camper in the back yard on country property.

You could always run the movies in parallel with the games...Setup a screen in the parking lot at sports centre and everyone can watch a movie while they wait for a bus to get to the velodrome...
