So a friend is looking to move to Milton as Oakville is too high and not worth the price for what you get. Not sure if Milton is becoming the same way now. Are there any new developments coming up that my friend can check out?

A few coming to Milton soon. http://www.homesmag.ca check it out and search for them.

Great Gulf Homes, Country Homes, Mattamy of course, Mosaik Homes, Royal Park, Andrin Homes, Jasper, , Branthaven and Markay Homes, just to mention a few.

I believe Beaverhall Homes (ForestWood) has inventory currently selling. Also, Conservatory Group (Jasper Village) currently selling from what I see on there sites.

Is there anywhere that is still affordable around GTA ? Milton prices have gone up since 2009.

to have a new detached home will run at least $500K minimum it looks like.
I'd like to move to oakville to be closer to the Lakeshore Go train line but for a similar house I have now will cost me at least $1 million.

OK, but lakeshore is the rich area. You can get a place in North Oakville for prices much closer to Miltons.
