Tim, you know what. Larry believes thats what was happening. Now its been suggested I keep ALL the lower level windows closed & locked. Oh great and I was just enjoying the fresh air. My little dogs would chew the heck out of a burglar's ankle's.

With all due respect, you are being very paranoid in my opinion. You are changing your life style based on what, someone knocking on your door??? If you are that paranoid, get an alarm like your old house, leave your casement windows open and arm it without the motion detecotrs when you are home alone.

And before people start jumping on me, she mentioned paranoid first!!!

Matt

PS, you are not obligated to open your door, talk to him through the window or buy an intercom panel to mount outside, they are very inexpensive.

There are 2 quotes on paranoia that I always liked 8)

First being,
Quote:
I know I'm paranoid, but am I paranoid enough?

Second being,
Quote:
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

I know that while knocking on doors during the last municipal election, my heart always began to race a bit when I heard the larger sized dogs and in many cases I can understand people when they either decide to just walk away (or run in that case you sighted) or to be a bit wary.

You cant always judge the size of the dog by the sound of the bark in many cases. Sometimes hints outside of dog toys, leashes etc might give you a hint theres a dog in the house.

don't kids play "knicky-nine-doors" anymore?? Could be that....especially if the kids get the attention of the dogs barking and you potentially getting upset.....

just a longshot though ?
