Hey everyone! Could anyone let us know what does it mean by property assesment. Does it mean that our current house is priced at the market value and how does this affect the buyers? Please advise. Trini |

Actually, the assessed value by MPAC may not always be lower than what you might be able to sell your home for. We currently live in an end-unit townhose in the Main Street Village development, and we got an assessment of $262,000. The market price for a townhouse isn't quite that high, however! It really depends on your neighbourhood and the homes around you as well, even if they are a different style than what you own. |
