I believe being a responsible pet owner means you also pick up after your dog. Twice this week I have found dog doodoo on our lawn and we don't even own a dog. I have nothing against dogs, just the owners who think it's okay to mess up other people's property just because no one is looking. Just venting. |

Why not just put a bright red stake in your lawn with black writing that says: "NO DOG sh*t PLEASE, THANKS.", like a guy around the corner from us did.... There's some class... Don't get me wrong, I think every pet owner should be responsible and pick up after there dog, but putting that type of message on your lawn is kind of tacky isn't it? |

I've thought of those, but are they safe for kids? What really bugs me is that my son can't even run around the lawn without possibly stepping in it. By the time I found the first one it looked as though someone had already stepped in it so it was all smooshed...gross.[/quote] |

Leaving your pet's droppings on someone else's property is just rude. I can see how a pet could end up going on someone's lawn during a walk, that's unavoidable sometimes, but leaving it there? Gross and classless. I have more than one dog myself - every pet owner should know to carry baggies around with them whenever they've got their pet on a walk. Or at least come back and get it right away if you have to run home for a bag.

Okay, I hate to harp on this, but I've had to pick up dog poo three times this week from my lawn. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the same dog. I tried putting that stuff on the lawn to deter it but it didn't work. I even got up early one morning and just watched from our upstairs window to see who would walk by with their dog but I just got tired. I'm thinking of setting up a video camera or something. Colin, if you're reading this, is there a "stoop and scoop" by-law here? I couldn't find it on the Milton website. I swear, if I catch the owner they will definately get an earfull from me! |
