Best get a Samsung and hope it doesn't blow up on a plane!

That was a criminal offence
Banned in both Canada + USA

Irrelevant today though as Samsung has bricked them

I just bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 unlocked phone at BestBuy in Orlando last week. The phone was on sale for $499 Usd. With the exchange and the markup from the credit card company I saved over $240 cdn.

Costco is selling the Samsung Galaxy S7 unlocked for $600 plus tax, $53 cheaper I paid for after the exchange and credit card markup. 8-(

Where did these numbers come from?
I can get the Samsung S7 for $500 Canadian today, no special deals or tricks required

I'm agreeing with you. I'm not sure where Mr. Peppermint can find an S7 for $500. If that's the case, I'll buy tons of them and sell them for $100+ profit each on Kijiji.

https://www.koodomobile.com/phones/samsung-galaxy-s7
$21 per month x 24 months = $504 CAN

And its a Tab so can pay off whenever you want
(I posted way earlier in thread just buy plan then pay off phone & cancel plan in same month so no monthly charges)

Even better, sign up at local BestBuy or WalMart and you get a store giftcard as well

Or there is a special promo on, trade in old phone when you activate you get $200 worth of accessory for free (car charger, case, screen protector etc)

please see the return policy:

"Phones purchased using the Tab may be exchanged, but if you decide to leave, your Tab will be reversed and you’ll be liable for any other charges".

Most companies have tabs for phones when you sign a contract. I on the other hand don't have a contact. I am on a month to month corporate plan. However, the galaxy s7 that is on sale at Costco is a pretty good deal. Telus, is selling the same phone without a contact for $840 plus b tax.

???
Why would we return the phone?
We are trying to buy them lol

The Tab needs to be paid in full ($500)
The cost in store for phone is $0

The "other charges" are things like price plan ($0) and our lovely HST (13%)
Plus any use on Koodo network (roam, long distance etc)

Please see the total charges below:

You'll pay $514 for your phone and put the rest ($360.00) on your Tab. The total is $874, are you not counting the $360 tab charges? If you decide to leave you got to pay this tab immediate.

I'll admit, i only half read all your posts... OP wants a phone for the states and Canada.

Are you suggesting to OP he sign up with Telus, get a phone on tab... and then turn around and cancel the plan, pay off the tab, and you got a $700 for $500?

It's still a phone that has not be factory unlocked... next time he connects it to a provider it will lock again, what is the benefit in that?

Promo ended midnight Jan 4
So your response is based on current prices

The boxing day (week) totals were $504 and listed above

A suspicious person would think you waited until promo over just to try and say pricing is wrong since you posted in a dozen other threads in past week ignoring this one

Only Apple relocks (and only for fraud)
Once unlocked he is free to do as he wills

And that is assuming he is not on Telus/Koodo/Public/PC Mobile in the first place
Only needs unlock to use on non-Telus brands
