Milton - we are nearing 1,000 signatures. This is a remarkable number of participants for our fifth action item, but we are a town of 100K+...please sign, please share. We only have until March 6th to let the environmental assessment agency know how we feel in this public comment period.

The proposed CN intermodal terminal...

- It's not a done deal
- This affects Milton, Oakville, Burlington and Halton Hills (thousands of transport trucks moving through our region every day to reach highways)
- This is our community letter representing our wishes as residents for THIS comment period (sign even if you have signed past petitions or letters)
- Signing doesn't mean you are "being political" or an activist. Signing doesn't mean that you are against CN. We are not against CN. Signing means that you are opposed to this location; that you don't want heavy industry in Milton next to our homes, destroying our economic prospects and our job opportunities, nor do we want 1,500 trucks per day added to our town roads. No Canadian community should be forced into hosting an intermodal terminal against its wishes. THIS AFFECTS YOU...please sign. Please encourage CN to hear us, to listen to Canadians and to place these important facilities in appropriate locations.

I commend your passion and all the work you have done. However, this will not change the outcome. Move or learn to live with it.

1500 trucks is about 1 extra a minute, this is a 24 hour a day operation. The drivers that pull the containers are about the sloppiest drivers around. The fact that only 1000 people have signed speaks volumes. Milton is without a doubt one of the least involved populations I've ever seen.

I have never met so many people recently that want to get the hell out.

I heard that the next Mattamy subdivision on Britannia will be called Hawthorne Village On The Intermodal Terminal.
