Haha right. Too much money, and too many greased palms for that to ever happen.

But this would worsen the housing supply problem in Halton, wouldn't it Mr. Carr? Wouldn't that drive prices up even more? There are a few thoughts springing from that.

It's about curtailing sprawling growth not housing prices.

Ya thanks I read it too, but my point was that in an effort to address one problem, he may create or worsen another. You are right: even with this "mechanism" to attempt this, there is no way he would dare, we're too far along here for anyone to "suddenly" try to steer this thing. I remember "we must control the growth" coming out of a lot of people's mouths over the last 10-12 years, but I don't remember hearing out of Carr before. This is probably an attempt at optics management, maybe he's in his Legacy Grooming phase just like Gord?

Here's Carr recently, November 2015:

I almost died laughing when I read the link
"And Ontario is making unprecedented levels of investment into GO Transit and our highways to help people move easier through the region so they can get to where they’re going."

Good thing we have that new GO parking lot, all day service, 401 expansion, and Tremaine access ramp all ready
This article is more about Oakville than Halton since we are barely mentioned

With current MPP and libs ruling in Ontario we will not get appropriate public transportation any time soon.

According to our regional councilor this is what current provincial government has for Milton:
No all Day Two Way GO train service to Milton until AFTER 2041 and no parking garage on existing go or second go station.

They did stop growth. Right at 25 and Lower Base Line and then picked the growth back up right after it.

They had to put their foot down.
