I have several furniture items for donation but has to be picked up. I need these items gone soon

Do most of them charge fees?

the Garbage disposal takes 3 items as per the schedule. Check your schedule and dispose accordingly.

The Re-Store may or may not pick them up. You will need to ask. Just google Milton restore and you should easily find their contact info.

We have found that if you put your large items out the night before large item pickup, much of it vanishes before morning.
What is left can usually fall under the three item limit (and the waste-collection folk took 4 items from us once as well).

Particularly anything with lots of metal in it, but useful furniture goes too.

I suspect that other nights will not work as well, as the private folks searching for scrap and treasures would likely wait for nights where they know prospecting will be good...

I believe Habitat for Humanity (Restore?) will pick up ....as long as it's on the main floor... & give a tax receipt.

Agree with much that has been said. The 3 items out with your garbage and then items 4-6 ready incase they are gone by morning (put them out the night before).

Also there are facebook groups that are 'free in Halton' and also kijiji to post things for free. If they aren't junk, most people will come for free stuff. I remember putting some oooooold MP3 players I found in a drawer that were like 10+ years old (one was a creative labs jukebox) and I posted free on kijiji and got messages back in 7 minutes and picked up in 25.

Agree with that 100%.

Needed to get rid of a good amount of interlocking brick a couple years ago. Posted a photo on kijiji and presto-bammo, it was gone.

Very convenient.

that was my experience also. ie. as long as the item has some usefulness, it gets picked up fast, but my price was little less thank market price, yet it gets picked up.

Find out someone out there most of the time to pick up.
