Has anyone in the community experienced and woken up from their sleep around 2am with the sound of their door bell ringing and a hard knock on the door. This has happened to us twice over the last 2 weeks and upon checking there is no one at the door. Scary right.

Please let me know what you think and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

What section of Milton are you in? Have you check with other neighbors that may have cams that caught it?

Suggest the "Ring Video doorbell Pro" - I have it and it installs super easy and works great.

For example - this is someone who came to my door yesterday. I can use my phone to communicate with them as well.

That's awesome. My neighbor always says " use the pool, we're away for a bit, and watch our sh*t for a few days". I still ring the bell out of courtesy. Sometimes he speaks to me through the doorbell. Last time he answered the door from Paris. Is that the same thing for $30/a?
it's the coolest!

Yes - $30 usd for each camera you have - you can have multiple. If you have 3 you might as well go for the whole home coverage at $100 usd per year as it gives you lifetime warranty on the gear as well.

There are Skybell, Dbell, and other more that have free cloud video recording. So far Ring, Skybell are the
best one's out there.

Honestly - 15 minutes and you'll be done. Very easy.

There's a small box that going inside your doorbell chime inside the house and your doorbell gets replaced with this, sams wires. Connect up to your phone to set it up and you're done.

I read some reviews and one of the review as follows.

" Installation is easy, but it would not power up. After checking their online support it seemed that I needed a higher voltage transformer, so I went back to the store and bought a new transformer (16v / 10 va). Still nothing. Hmmm, my no-load voltage was 21 v, and still nothing. I was getting pretty frustrated when I went back online to do more research, and I found a bunch of posts stating that this is is a VERY common problem, and it can only be resolved by replacing with an even higher voltage transformer (24v), but of course that then puts my existing electronic doorbell at risk, as it is only rated for 16v".

Looks like we need a higher voltage and ring pro does not work in our existing homes!

^^ false...

There are tons of homes in Milton that it works just fine, like my house.

I suspect there’s something wrong with that persons house.

Are you sure, door was knocked?

If you live in Mattamy home, you will hear ring bell sounds randomly during the day and night. Mattamy installed false door bells at several homes. If you door didn't knock and just heard sound of ring, contact Mattamy to change your door bell.
