They're calling it The Just In Time Event, my God that's mind-bogglingly evil.

Prices are off the website already, but check that Chinese BB for a price sheet pic. Look at those recently reduced prices, I'm sure they can't possibly go any lower, right? Right. And I think they're making some kind of sly comment there, one model is called the Napanee, a steal at around $900K.

And heres another builder's Milton pricelist from March 2017 on that remarkably well developed Chinese website http://forum.yorkbbs.ca/property/4473555.aspx
A comparable to the Napanee was selling for around 1.26M then, instant sellout.

Of particular concern was this: the service sector led the retreat, giving up almost 72,000 positions in real estate, insurance, financing and professional services. This matters since our real estate lust has resulted in a bigger share of the economy going to residential real estate than oil and gas. As pointed our recently by Macquarrie economists, property-related commissions alone equal 3% of the country’s GDP. Yikes. So what happens when people stop buying, when mortgage rates rise, and the feds usher in a moister-eating stress test?

You bet. Job loss. Along with the rising cost of money and tougher regs, this is toxic to the real estate orgy.

Have they increased the prices for 36" detached homes since the 1st release on January 27th 2018. Mckay 36 lot is now 887,990. Anyone know what was the price when they opened the release in January?

Thanks.

Here's that price sheet pic uploaded to the York BB in January - thanks Chinese dudes! The image is imperfect but I believe the listing under the Fraser says MacKay, listing at $887,990 for the default setting elevation. Bananas.

thanks, they still have the same prices as was in January but only 10k incentive instead of 20k that was offered in January. I went to the sales office today, they have two units left in 36" lots with the premium 30k for the little wider lot at the back and 45k for the wood lot.
It's difficult to take a decision in today's market. Came back thinking the prices might drop in the coming months. :)

Price coming down, what is the problem in the context below?

If you are buying for your principal residence, you do not worry about price coming down. This has been discussed many times and I know it will keep on coming again and again.

Yes I'm buying as a principle residence to upgrade but I have to sell my existing residence when the closing comes next year, that is what I'm worried about. I know its hard to predict what will happen by that time :)

if logistics accommodate you, you sell this year and live in a rented place for the remaining months until your new house closes. By doing this you take out the risk of not meeting your expectations down the road.
