We unplugged our hot water tank, shut off water to house and drain the main floor taps and was off for 2 weeks. Returned but since then the water is not as hot. The tank is out of warranty (just past 10years; serviced in May; burner etc.). Anyone knows a hot water heater specialist to look at this for us please?

Why don't you call the guy that serviced it in May?
If it's a rental, just tell them to come get their broken tank and have Mason from Nissan Air supply and install one that you will own outright.

You may have a broken dip tube. Try "Assured" 905-691-8819. Local.
