Are there tons of signs indicating you shouldn’t be parking there?

Who does the ticket tell you to pay?

How do you manage to have a digital camera from 1992 that still works?

My camera is just fine. The file upload of 137kb is the problem. How many signs are in a ton?

These tickets are legit. I got one in Toronto and went to the Toronto Ticket office and they confirmed that the ticket was issued by the private property owners. As such these private property owners have the authority from the Town to issue these tickets and the ticket itself will look same as that the one issued by the Town.

Uh, this ain’t Toronto. We just say that to people online who ask where we live.
Where is the “Toronto Ticket office” anyway? I can’t believe you said that. Silly Carl.

It is North York Civic Centre, Toronto. Not sure why you were so curious to know the location.

But that is not the matter anyways, the point is that these tickets show a true copy of exactly to the one issue by the city itself. I guess this is new phenomenon for you as you did not believe such tickets issued by private owners resemble the city issue tickets.

‘Tons’ is a colloquial term that is used to mean ‘many,’ but in a rather hyperbolic manner.

But, 5-10.

I’d fight these tickets if possible, but then again I also don’t take photographs with a potato.

yea a bigger picture would be better - this looks shady... and if they are purporting themselves to be authorized by the town, I'm sure the town would like to know about that.

ToM bylaws
Many parking lots in the town clearly say private ticketing authorized by ToM

Toronto has not accepted walk in ticket disputes anymore Carl
Needs to be done online before anything else

I was over there yesterday. Can't say they didn't warn you. If it's the lot immediately adjacent to the resto, in front of the UPS Store, there are several (4-5) large green and white signs with abundantly clear threats of tagging and / or towing, stating a ToM bylaw which I did not note. Should have taken a picture.

Also, there's a honking huge banner on the side of the place facing this forbidden lot about parking, including suggesting the Lowe's lot across the street. So the Mall people are cool, but not the plaza people.

I'd still fight it even if I was massively and inexcusably in the wrong. Let us know what the final fine is.

I went to that office two years ago as I also could not believe how in a private parking lot a city issued ticket can be. I went there to confirm the validity of the ticket and what options I have.

@Carl
If a private company issues a ticket; ignore it
Seriously

It can not show up on your vehicle, your credit report, or any of the other BS that they claim

The only tickets you need to worry about are those issued by the actual Town / City

Great spot for exposure to customers. Bad place to have a restaurant for parking. 9 Spots to share with another business.

I know for many it is no-no to walk even twenty meters in Milton, but just in case...
Where are very many empty parking lots across the street. And some extra are just at the corner.

There's a lot of third party patrol ticketers that are handing out ToM tickets. So people have to be careful if they see who is writing the ticket and think they can toss it out the window.

Why? It can be a private company who you see writing the ticket, but they could be writing ToM tickets (I.e. authorized ticketing agent for the town, even on private property). ParkSmart is a perfect example.
