Ok so something is bothering me that I do not know how to handle.

A while back a new neighbor moved in on our street. A mom and a low functioning daughter. If I had to guess this daughter is probably mid twenties.

I am not in anyway trying to be mean or childish with this post. Looking for advice and not sure where to go.

The daughter is home alone often. Daily she trespasses on peoples property. Sitting on their door step in their yards damaging property kicking cars. She is out of control and I understand she doesnt know any better. I feel its the parents responsibility to take care of this person which she clearly cant do while leaving her run rampant.

What is the most polite and professional and proper way to handle this?

I feel sorry when I know people have difficulties but Im tired having a person who harasses all guests trespasses damages property and kicks cars for attention.

Its not trespass unless you inform them first

Empty the garbage from your garage and park car inside to prevent any alleged damage (or did you witness it?)

My suv goes in the garage. I have a well organized garage.

My neihbors car is the one i saw her kick. She has been told not to kick cars and not to trespass.

And excuse me but before telling me to clean my garage make sure its not cleaner than yours.

And are you telling me if you came home tomorrow and found her hanging out in your yard having caused damage this is not trespassing?

Wtf are you talking about? So somebody can come hang out in my backyard, as long as I haven't told them they are trespassing?

Exactly. Using Minty's example, you can go over and toilet paper his tree, but quickly before he tells you you can't.

I'm sure some will not like my suggestion. When you see her, and tell your neighbors, call the police (with reason, damage or trespass), that will unfortunately start a ball rolling that WILL end this problem. Nip this in the bud or it could get very ugly.

I am thinking of doing exactly this. I mean I dont want to be the mean person but it is already at a very bad point.

Ppl shouldnt have to worry about a neighbor that literally has been on everyones property and literally kicks cars and when she is told to stop she says "hi" and continues being a terror.

Also keep in mind this is not a child. She is with her mom but im surr is an adult.

To be honest shame on her mom. Its clear at times that she locks her outside for a break.

Her wanting a break shouldnt be the streets problem.

The issue is how to control the adult child. Mom seems to be locking inside and leaving outside for a while.

These children need 24 hour supervision, as such places for children's care would be the best. The spots are hardly available and I could imagine how the mom is coping out to care for the adult daughter.

Is this an adult with Down's Syndrome or autism? Have you spoken with the mom and told her what the daughter does? That's probably what I would try to do before involving police. Good luck.
