Well the idea itself is simple enough. Maybe you've heard of the TV programs Time Team/Digging for Britain that airs on TVO So the idea was to hire 5 university/college level students through Canada Summer Jobs a archaeologist a researcher a 3d modeller a geo phys mapper a playwright and have them work together as a team in a sort of Time Team Norfolk County project Mayor Charlie Luke wants in Norfolk Historical Society members want in alas it seems four of the desired university/college students all get grants to fly over to the Middle East to dig up exciting ruins hence not interested in poking around Ontario What we have got is a prototype Junior Geneticist Teaching Laboratory Kit for a disabled boy or girl being put together by a 3rd year genetics/health sciences student who is looking for sponsors so she can add more test tubes and Bunsen burners to the prototype named EXCALIBER |

Get in touch with the Archeology department at Laurie University in Waterloo. I know that they were digging in Ruthven park (on HWY 54) and Fort Erie. they can recommend students with your project. |

So according to ( Noble) between 700AD to 1300AD there was a Glen Meyer aboriginal culture centered around Oxford/Norfolk ( hence Glen Meyer,a small hamlet in Norfolk) that occupied southwestern Ontario and had its "Camelot" ( called the Praying Mantis site) near London and according to (Wright) around 1300AD the "anglo saxon barbarians" ( the Pickering culture) swept in from Northeast Ontario and conquered the Glen Meyers Word is still out on whether there was a "King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table " to battle the Pickerings and defend all that is good in pre-Norfolk County ( not something archaeology can answer) |
