Does anyone here have Start.ca TV? Thinking about getting it. Right now I have Bell but it's getting too expensive. I already have Start internet and phone. If you do have it could you give me reviews on it? Good, bad, etc. Thank you.

Not ready for prime time. I'd give it a few months before they work out most of the bugs.

I know it's fairly new and I think I'll take your advice and wait for a few months. They don't have full channel lineup yet either. Thanks for the input.

I had it for a few weeks but ended up cancelling it. The main issue I found was a lot connection errors and show recording errors.

There were a few programming quirks too like I could get local news for Boston but I had to pay separately to get CBC Newsworld. It was easy to figure out what I was getting and how much it would cost me to get anything extra that I wanted. The kids liked the kids channel package and it was easy to add.

Their customer service is still second to none and I will likely try it again in a years time once they've worked out some of the bugs.

Try https://www.carrytel.ca instead C$45.19 P/month. No problems.

This post is about TV service. Carrytel does not offer this, they only offer Internet and Home Phone.

I signed up and had it installed just this past weekend. So far so good.

I was with them 2 years ago when it was just internet, then left for bell to get interne t+ tv as a good promo rate. The rate has now doubled, so here I am back at Start but this time with TV and just in time for Game of Thrones (HBO/CHRAVE added for $20/month). will end once GOT is ovaaaa.

Location: I live in Hawthorne Village and sleep in Mississauga!
Would be interesting to hear reviews. Nice to have some competition shaping up too.

Had high hopes for them to actually be a lower priced service - they're not... I'll stick to my slightly imperfect IPTV where I get every channel under the sun...

You should get your facts straight before making a statement like that. There are 3rd party IPTV providers who are licensed for the channels they stream.
