Just go to walmart, you can get good a set of decent quality heavy clay chips for like 50$. Personally I would go with 800 or so chips. I bought a 500 and wish I had that extra bit more. You'll overpay like crazy at Dufferin Games room.

Canadian Tire sells a very nice foldable table top with chip holders and drinks holders for like 50$ as well.

Walmart's probably the best bet for normal, get-you-by chips for sure. However, I had picked up a set of 1000 in an aluminum case a while back at a Superstore for $30. Don't think the new Milton Superstore has that kind of stuff though...

With Xmas <<shudder>> around the corner, you should be able to grab one easily.

Try www.thenuts.ca I've picked up some copag cards from them and they're great. I think it's 20.00 to ship a 500 pc set of 11.5g chips.

$110.00 for "Precision Balanced" chips?

They must be joking. I've had poker nights where we've had difficulty sitting up straight. I'd like to meet the fun people those chips are marketed to.

Honestly, it all comes down to how much authenticity you want your home games to have. To me personally, it makes the game that much more enjoyable, playing on a real table, with proper cards, and a nice heavy chip.
